Urban Exploring: Pipeline Boondocks

Started in the 1920’s by two friends, this Adelaide company is still alive and well but as part of global restructuring this particular site now sits abandoned… only a black-haired yellow goblin inhabits this former precast concrete pipe manufacturing plant.

Urban Exploring: St Peters Twins [Square Entrance]

The great thing about the St Peters Twins tunnel is at the end of one you can turn around and go back down the other…

One of the nice surprises of the St Peters Twins Square Entrance is an offshoot. This offshoot branch leads to a very old stormwater collection trench that has since been enclosed. It runs parallel to one of Adelaide’s major arterial roads for approximately 500m. The floors and walls are lined with old slate rocks and services literally breach the side walls. It’s a dead-end of course but fun none the less…

Urban Exploring: St Peters Twins [The Round Entrance]

The St Peters Twins tunnel is a twin tunnel system that runs parallel with each other and exits at the same location. Both entrances run for ~1.3kms. The right circular side only stays cylindrical for a while then turns box-shaped till the end.

You can then go down the other side into the Square Enterance.

The cops are hot on graffiti in the area so be careful. We were questioned by 2 officers before discretely disappearing down the hole for another awesome tunneling adventure…
